Join for the network.
Stay for the connection.
How do you expand your network with intention?
As an experienced business owner, you know the value of a supportive referral network - and the challenge of building it.
Communities can provide connection - but require a lot of time to find your people.
Networking groups can be a stepping stone to referral partnerships, but can also leave you drained with little to show for it.
Coffee chats can be a useful tool, but even a great connection requires strategic followup and time to create a meaningful relationship.

Meet The Co-Promotion Club.
We’re not [exactly] a community
This is a small group of experienced agency owners, consultants, fractionals, and freelancers who own thriving businesses.
We’re busy; we value meeting the right people in the right season.
We’re also patient. We want like-valued connections that become trusted referral partnerships, and we’re willing to invest in them over time.
We’re not your [typical] networking group
You won’t find pressure, quotas, or awkward speed networking.
Relationships and networking are human connections to us, not transactional opportunities.
We want to make money in a way that aligns with our people-first values.
We are serious about seeing you succeed, so we’ll get to know you, support you in meaningful ways, and then sing your praises to all of our people.
We’re not [all] extroverts
Running a successful business doesn’t mean having endless social energy.
Many of us are most comfortable in small, intimate groups where we know at least some of the people there.
We like to show up prepared rather than being asked to wing it in front of people.
You’ll find space for both quiet and conversation. We value your voice, even if you don’t speak up all the time.
We are your trusted circle of referral partners, collaborators, supporters, resource-sharers, and thought partners.
We’ll probably also become friends.
Who’s behind The Co-Pro Club?
After several years of trying - and failing - to grow her design business using standard marketing methods, Co-Pro Club founder Janna Carlson walked away from all of them.
She left behind social media, blogging, podcasting, and newsletters. Instead, she doubled down on building her own referral network.
During that process, Janna realized that comfortable, values-driven, people-first networking spaces were harder to find than great tacos in Portugal (don’t worry, the wine + fresh seafood are just fine).
So Janna stopped looking and started The Co-Promotion Club. It was originally for her own referral partners until she launched it to the public in December of 2024.
Turns out other people wanted what she did, and now it’s the thriving, supportive, friendly space she dreamed of finding of way back then.
